Our servers are located
within
IP House, a
data centre owned by
Thus plc.
The data centre is a purpose
built multi-million pound
Tier 4 facility, situated on
the outskirts of London
Docklands, providing the
ultimate in redundancy,
uptime, and network colocation services. The
data centre has been built
utilizing N+1 design
philosophy. N+1 ensures that
every part of the data
centre is not only
redundant, but has a hot
spare on standby in case of
an emergency.
Uptime
Guarantee
We operate a 99.9% uptime
guarantee (details in our SLA). Our network
infrastructure has been
designed to exclude all
single points of failure. In
the case of a hardware
problem with a server (e.g.
failure of hard disk,
memory, CPU power supply,
etc.) we retain spare
machines and parts on site.
This enables us to easily
change faulty parts or even
replace the entire server
within a few hours.
Our
Network
Our network operates on
industry-leading network
equipment from Cisco
Systems. All our switches
and routers are developed by
Cisco. We operate a
multi-homed network
utilising BGP4 technology.
We have multiple connections
to the Internet with
different backbone
providers. Should any
connection fail our other
connections automatically
take all the traffic.
Our
Servers
We have built our web
hosting platform using
HP/Compaq's leading range of ProLiant web servers.
HP/Compaq
is the largest supplier of
computing systems in the
world and its server
products power some of the
world's most
business-critical
applications and businesses.
All of our servers are
equipped with dual
processors, redundant
memory, two NICs and
redundant fans. Every server
is fitted with hot-swap SCSI hard
drives and is setup to use
RAID-6.
Our Service
The quality of our
service doesn't stop at our
top-level range of
packages/servers. Our team
is dedicated to helping
everyone get the most out of
their web space. If for any
reason you are not
completely satisfied with
the service we provide and
you decide to cancel your
account during the first 14
days of service we will
refund all subscription fees
(subject to our
TOS).
